Polycystic ovary syndrome or
PCOS is a medical condition where a woman develops
several small cysts in her ovaries. As opposed to this,
in the ovarian cyst syndrome, there
is just a single cyst. Now, both these conditions could
be benign, and both of them can be bad. It all depends
on the size and the nature of the growths.
This condition is common
among women in the age group of 12 to 45 years. It is
not clear what the exact causes of the syndrome are, but
we do know about the contributing factors, which could
be genetic predisposition, poor dietary choices, a
weakened immune system, accumulation of toxins in the
digestive tract (including environmental toxins) and
insulin resistance and obesity.
The good news is, women who are
victims of this problem can get rid of this and lead a
normal life. If left untreated, complexities like ovarian cyst cancer
and infertility can occur. The cysts
could also prevent you from conceiving, and they have
also caused miscarriages. Thus, it is risky to leave
them untreated.
Eating a balanced diet by
consuming low-fat food that is low on carbohydrates, and
avoiding food containing saturated and trans-fats can
help. Exercising is also important to do away with
obesity, because it can make the condition
worse.
The best possible mode of
treatment comes in the form of holistic remedies. The
treatment rendered by these remedies strike at the root
of the problem, which is not possible with the
conventional approach. Conventional treatments just
treat the symptoms, and so, the cysts often return. With
holistic remedies however, the root causes are
eliminated, and the cyst vanishes
permanently.
