Polycystic ovaries generally have no symptoms and a person suffering from it might not even actually realize it. But when you start suffering from some or all the symptoms that we have listed here, then your doctor might inform you that you might be suffering from the polycystic ovarian syndrome. Of course it has to be confirmed and so the doctor will ask you to do some blood tests and also ultrasound exams.
Before we go into the symptoms, please do remember that you might not show all of them. Also, they might vary in severity.
Symptoms of the Polycystic Ovarian
Syndrome:
Irregular menstruation: This is one very common symptoms and one which you will probably notice at the very beginning. If you are suffering from PCOS, you will not ovulate regularly or you might not ovulate at all, and this is why menstruation becomes irregular.
Difficulty in conceiving: Since there is irregular or no ovulation, becoming pregnant without any medical help becomes difficult.
Miscarriage: Miscarriages are quite common among those who have cysts.
Unwanted body hair: Unwanted hair growth is also one of the common symptoms of polycystic ovarian syndrome. You may suddenly have unwanted hair on the face, chest, arms and legs.
Acne: Adult acne is also one of the common symptoms of polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Weight gain: Check those pounds. Those suffering from PCOS tend to easily gain weight.
Discomfort in the pelvic area: An occasional discomfort experienced in the pelvic area is yet another symptom.
There are many ways to fight PCOS. However it is only holistic remedies that succeed because in this method, the root causes are treated and not the symptoms. Once the causes are eliminated, the symptoms go away naturally, never to return again.
