Polycystic
fibrosis
is basically the same as polycystic
ovarian syndrome or PCOS, at least, as far as the
symptoms are concerned. However, there is one major
difference between these two. All of us have the cystic
fibrosis gene within us, and sometimes, there is a
problem in this gene because of which a mutation
happens. When this happens, the person is said to be
suffering from polycystic
fibrosis.
On the ovarian cyst syndrome
or PCOS however, there are a multitude of factors that
are responsible, and it is really very difficult to
blame any one of them particularly. So this is the main
difference between these two. But other than this, there
are no other differences, and even the symptoms are
similar. Because of this, there is often confusion as to
the nature of the condition.
The symptoms include irregular
period, pain in the pelvic
or abdominal area,
acne, obesity, male pattern baldness, sudden growth of
excess hair, growth of additional skin in the neck and
armpits, heart and liver problem and other health
problems. The doctor after diagnosing the problem
specifies treatment depending upon the exact symptoms
and their seriousness.
There are several treatments
available. You can try the conventional and even natural
treatments. If your condition has been detected as
ovarian cyst and not cystic fibrosis, then you may also
opt for a surgical procedure that is called
hysterectomy.
You may also want to try out
holistic remedies. In most cases holistic remedies gives
better results than both conventional as well as natural
treatments.
