Many women unknown to them carry at least one cyst at some point or the other in their life. Not all of these cysts are harmful or dangerous, only sometimes do they cause harm. In most cases, the cysts are only functional cysts that disappear on their own in a few months’ time.
But in some cases, these ovarian cysts end up obstructing blood supply to the ovaries, or might also continue to grow bigger when normally they should have got cleared up. And sometimes, the cysts might carry cancerous cells – such cases need immediate help.
Here are the various treatments for ovarian cysts.
Birth Pills: Birth pills are nothing but condensed forms of the hormones progesterone and estrogen. These hormones regulate and manage the monthly periods. By taking the pills, it is possible to control the arrival of the period. When you are on the pill, you are stopping your ovulation because the menstrual cycle itself is stopped. The cysts thus cannot form.
Cystectomy: In recent times, this has become quite popular. If you opt for this, it will let you become pregnant as your ovaries remain intact. But, if the cyst is found to be malignant, then the affected areas might have to be removed.
Oophorectomy: This procedure is also commonly known as orchiectomy. It is the last resort step when everything else has failed to work. The reason being, in this procedure, one or both the ovaries need to be removed, thus making is almost impossible for you to conceive.
Surgeries or any other conventional treatments can only offer temporary relief as the symptoms go away. But the relief is not permanent because the root causes remain. The holistic method identifies the root causes and eradicates them, thus giving a permanent solution to the problem.
