on to know more about pericardial effusion
and ovarian cysts
Ovarian cysts are formed when the follicles that contain the egg fail to release the egg or when after releasing the egg the opening of the follicle again closes up and the follicle still continue to grow. Though most cysts are benign in nature i.e. they are harmless and don’t cause any trouble yet there are a few situations where they might cause serious trouble.
Other
than those serious cases where a cyst might be cancerous
in nature there are other complicated situations related
to the ovarian cysts. One serious situation that might
arise in women suffering from PCOS or polycystic ovarian
syndrome is the ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome or
OHSS. Let us first discuss briefly PCOS then we will go
on to learn more about OHSS.
PCOS
occurs due to the build up of follicle cysts. This build
up of follicle cysts leads to the thickening of the
ovaries. The ovaries get enlarged and towards the outer
end of the ovaries a thick covering gets created.
Research shows that women suffering from the polycystic
syndrome might suddenly suffer from sudden or
spontaneous OHSS i.e. the ovarian hyperstimulation
syndrome. It is in fact one of the most serious
complications that can occur concerning the ovaries.
There
are three stages of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
In the mild stage the ovaries get enlarged up to say 5
cm. In the next stage, the patient might feel abdominal
discomfort, weight gain, vomiting, nausea; the abdominal
circumference will increase as the size of the ovaries
increase. In this stage the ovaries might get enlarged
up to 10 cm.
OHSS
though not fatal can lead to serious problems and
complications. In the third and most serious stage the
liver gets affected, and there might be disturbance in
its normal working. A person in the severe stage of OHSS
might need to be hospitalized. The patient might develop
respiratory problems and there the patient suffers from
pericardial effusion. Pericardial effusion is in itself
a serious condition. In this condition fluid starts
accumulating in the area surrounding the heart. Too much
fluid in this area can lead to heart problems as it
starts affecting the heart’s normal functions. This
fluid needs to be drained out of the body. A needle is
inserted through the chest wall and enters the
pericardial area and the fluid is drained out.
But all these things can be avoided or prevented if appropriate and timely help can be acquired. For many years the conventional methods were thought to be the only solutions available for the treatment of ovarian cysts or the PCOS. But though these treatments give respite for the time being, they do not actually solve the problem. The cysts might occur again and all the complications might get repeated in a much worse form. But you can prevent all this if you opt for the holistic approach. If you opt for the holistic approach before the problem reaches mammoth stages, you’ll be able to avoid all these serious complications and even get rid of your ovarian cysts completely and totally. Unlike the conventional methods the holistic approach doesn’t only treat the symptom but it addresses the root cause and eliminates it. Thus it doesn’t give the chance to the cysts to get complicated and leading to other various serious issues and neither does it let the cysts to occur again. If you are looking for a way to cure ovarian cysts completely and want to avoid all the complications that occur because of it holistic approach is the best choice.
