In
this article we are discussing about ovarian cysts,
particularly honeycombed cysts
Cysts
are nothing but small sacs filled with fluids. They
occur inside the ovaries. When follicle fails to release
the matured egg or when after releasing the egg, the
follicle again reseals itself and continues to grow, the
follicle turns in to a cyst. Generally cysts are benign
in nature, i.e. they don't cause any harm. In fact cysts
are asymptomatic i.e. they don't have any symptoms as
such.

Sometimes
though there are some basic symptoms like pain in the
abdominal area, irregular monthly cycles, pain during
sex, a sense of fullness or a bloating feeling, and
discomfort in the abdominal area. In some cases when a
cyst twists on itself, or bursts or ruptures it might
lead to excruciating pain, nausea, vomiting, etc. In
very rare cases a cyst turns malignant or cancerous in
nature.
Generally
in most cases women are diagnosed with small cysts,
sometimes a large or complicated cyst is found. Another
form of cyst is the honeycombed cyst. In this particular
scenario the ovary might be so much loaded with
follicles that it looks like a honeycomb. There are
different phases of PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
A PCOS patient in an advanced stage may only have
ovulations 6 times a year and may have monthly cycles
extending for up to 35 days.
Women
in such a stage may develop multiple cysts that together
look like a honeycomb structure. The ovaries are
enlarged in this condition and they may contain many
small cysts that are clustered together inside a thick
outer structure.
If
this condition becomes serious then it can become very
painful and lead to lots of discomfort. In very rare
cases it can even turn fatal. It is important that the
diagnosis is right. Though usually in the case of a
simple cyst, the diagnosis is generally accidental. A
routine pelvic exam or an ultrasound examination throws
up the result that there's a cyst present.
Till
now the most patients only had faith on the conventional
modes of treatment. But with time it has been proved
that conventional methods are really not the best or
ultimate solution where ovarian cysts are concerned.
Firstly they lead to many side effects. Secondly they
don't solve the problem completely i.e. they only
respite for the time being. Conventional methods can't
give a guarantee that the cysts won't recur again. In
fact not even surgery can guarantee that. The
conventional methods do not try to address the original
because they just treat the symptoms.
But
the fact remains that ovarian cysts are caused by
various factors, ranging from physical, mental,
emotional to environmental factors. In order to cure the
condition of ovarian cysts completely you should opt for
the holistic approach. The holistic approach tries to
find out the exact factors that are causing the cysts.
After determining the causes the holistic approach
addresses these causes and tries to minimize them thus
minimizing and eliminating the risk of ovarian cysts.
The holistic approach believes in an overall development
of the physical, spiritual and emotional
health.
